Ecosystems Approach to Fisheries Management in Chittagong, Bangladesh

At IMA International we believe the work we do has to strengthen the capacity of those we work with.
One of the ways we do this is to provide tailored Training of Trainers (ToT) linked to specific skill sets.

IMA provided a ToT course in Chittagong, Bangladesh.  It was for the Essential Ecosystems Approach to Fisheries Management (EEAFM) course supported by the Bay of Bengal Large Marine Ecosystems (BOBLME) and FAO.

Participants’ acquired EEAFM training skills to start to build up a pool of trainers in the region.  All participants scored the TOT as a level 5 (extremely useful).  The whole training team worked well as a ‘team’ supporting each other and offering ideas, to make this an inclusive, participatory, and enjoyable training.
