A Risk Intelligent Organisation for Effective Project Implementation

This training aligned with BAPPENAS's overarching goal of becoming a Risk Intelligent organisation, whereby all employees have a solid understanding of risk management, and can apply tools for risk assessment and mitigation. This training supported efficient and strategic Major Project planning and implementation, enabling BAPPENAS to fulfil its mandate within the Indonesian Government amidst dynamic economic, social, political, and environmental conditions. Participants became confident advocates for risk management, with skills to effectively lead and communicate risk management methods for smooth Major Project planning and implementation with other ministries and stakeholders.

Tailored Training Design and International Knowledge Sharing

Following a Learning Needs Analysis, this specialised training was designed, covering key concepts, fundamentals, methods, and tools of risk management, such as scenario planning - using a mix of in-class learning, self-study, group work and knowledge sharing, with benchmarking visits and presentations by UK government departments to showcase UK practice including the Department for Education; Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities; Institute of Civil Engineers (ICE); and Infrastructure and Projects Authority.  We really appreciated the enthusiasm to learn and focus on creative thinking, shown by all of the training attendees, and supported by the senior team of BAPPENAS - a very big thank you to all involved!
