At the request of GTZ, a special course was designed and run to meet Pakistan’s Ministry of Women’s Development and Gender Reform Action Plan needs in the field of project planning, monitoring and evaluation. Sixteen participants came from Ministry of Women's Development and other Ministries where gender mainstreaming is being implemented.
The course combined elements from our Planning courses and M&E courses.
During the course, participants worked towards developing a framework for planning implementation, monitoring and evaluation for the Gender Reform Action Plan. A specific issue was how to introduce monitoring and evaluation into the programmes implement by the MoWD.
The course was held at the Avari Hotel, Dubai. This proved to be an great location with excellent facilities in the hotel and the nearby shopping malls proving popular in the evenings. The social and cultural programme included a desert safari driving down some very steep sand dunes and finished at a Bedouin camp.
The final dinner was dinner cruise in a traditional dhow on Dubai Creek and giving good views of the massive developments currently taking place in Dubai.
