Petra Veres is a Consultant and Researcher at IMA International. Petra joined the IMA team in 2020. She is from Hungary and has a First-class degree in BA Development Studies and Human Rights from the University of Sussex.

Prior to her role at IMA, Petra worked with professionals from various organisations within Europe and the African continent. Her work included advocacy for youth empowerment, peacebuilding, mentoring as well as assessing integration policies and projects, and initiatives in online and offline PVE/CVE. Petra has a great interest particularly in migration and development, conflict studies and climate change adaptation strategies. She is passionate about activism, human rights education, evidence-based policy and programme research, capacity development and connecting people with the best opportunities for their professional skill development.
