Tailored training in EAFM and climate change adaptation for Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock, Bangladesh

IMA took a group of officials from the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock, Bangladesh, to Indonesia for a 12-day training programme on Ecosystems Approach to Fisheries Management (EAFM) and climate change adaption, that also included sessions on Fisheries and Aquaculture Response in Emergency (FARE). With reflective conversations, case studies, and site visits to mangrove areas, the participants experienced how co-management principles were applied in Indonesia, that they could apply to their context in Bangladesh.

MREL and KM tailored online training for UK Health Security Agency

IMA designed and delivered a customised online training programme focused on Knowledge Management (KM) and Monitoring, Research, Evaluation, and Learning (MREL), to support the establishment of a robust MREL system within the agency while enhancing the relevant skill sets among its staff.

Risk Management tailored training for the Ministry of National Development Planning (Bappenas), Indonesia

IMA delivered a series of 3 training courses for over 80 staff from Bappenas in London, UK. The programme included various methods and tools, including scenario planning, and used benchmarking visits and presentations by UK government departments to showcase UK practice for the Indonesian mininstry.

Gender mainstreaming workshops for Marine Fisheries Administration, Sudan

IMA provided a training on gender mainstreaming to UNIDO project stakeholders, from the Marine Fisheries Administration, the Red Sea University and the Red Sea Fisheries Research Station, to mainstream gender into coastal and marine ecosystems management. Workshops involved developing policy briefs and stakeholder engagement

Development Planning & Management tailored training for National Fisheries Authority in Papua New Guinea

IMA delivered a 5-day training for 25 staff members of the National Fisheries Authority, to support staff to implement their Strategic Plan and overcome the challenges of implementation, with the overall aim to improve the productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness of strategic planning/engagements, actions and investment in performing NFA’s Core Mandate.

FAO Capfish Capture for management and senior government staff in fisheries administration, Cambodia

IMA has provided consultancy, tailored training and training of trainers, facilitated workshops and webinars, conducted a capacity needs analysis, and provided individual staff mentoring for management and senior government staff in fisheries administration nationwide. By applying participatory methods and new skills, Capfish Capture staff are able to improve ecosystem management.
